In this report I summarize a few things I discovered concerning what is krill oil but krill oil is really a supplement produced by extracting fats out of sea animals generally known as krill.
Krill oil provides Omega-3 fatty acids like fish oil, however as opposed to fish oil they are primarily bound to phospholipids and not triglycerides.

In one study, women were randomized into two groups. The groups consumed 2g every day of either krill oil or fish oil. Krill oil was a lot more effective than fish oil in treating the signs of dysmenorrhea and pms or premenstrual syndrome.
A report split patients into groups. One took krill oil daily, and the other fish oil. The krill oil groups reduced total cholesterol, Ldl cholesterol and triglycerides, and increased High-density lipoprotein cholesterol, a lot more in comparison to the fish-oil group.
They are all common risk factors for cardiovascular disease, therefore it seems plausible that krill oil may drastically reduce heart disease risk.
